About Dr. Bilal Islam
Born and raised in Panama City, Florida, Dr. Bilal Islam completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of South Alabama and completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Mercy Health in Wisconsin.
While at Mercy, he acted as a team physician under the tutelage of Dr. Maldonado, who was the team physician for the top division three football team multiple years in a row, as well as other professional, college, and high school teams.
He has extensive experience caring for athletes of all levels. He's served as team physician for multiple different sports, including (but not limited to) hockey, football, rugby, basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, lacrosse, gymnastics, running, bicycling, golf, skiing, snowboarding, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, MMA and boxing.
