UltraGuideTFR is a hand-held, single-use ultrasound guidance system developed by Sonex Health to treat trigger finger. The device allows physicians to perform trigger finger release (TFR) through a small incision, without the complications that can occur from larger, open surgery incisions.
The device is used in conjunction with real-time ultrasound guidance to perform trigger finger release (TFR) procedures. Performing trigger finger release with UltraGuideTFR and real-time ultrasound guidance allows for concurrent visualization of the internal structures of the palm and fingers.
The surgery, known as trigger finger release, is done as an outpatient procedure and takes about half an hour. It can take longer if more than one finger is being released.
